The most deadly misconception about knowledge

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6KJV

 Contrary to what is often said, knowledge is not power but the application of knowledge is power.

Lack of knowledge could be disastrous sometimes, if you lack the knowledge of how do a thing then there is no how you can do that thing. To do something you must know how to do it first which is why it is necessary to study so as to stay updated.

The devil is never afraid of how much of the word of God a person knows but of his or her ability to apply the word of God, the devil knows the bible as well.

In the opening passage above, the children of Israel were not just ignorant of the word of God, they rejected the word of God. Ignorance is disastrous - the remedy is knowledge however if the knowledge acquired is applied and that's when it becomes power. Applied knowledge is power. Even if you have all the bible in your head, if you never apply it then it will not produce any effect; There will be result only when knowledge is applied - that is knowledge.

Knowledge without application is like having a car but don't know how to drive it. Knowledge becomes power only when the person that possess it has the ability to apply it. The devil is never  afraid of how much of the word of God we know but how much of the word of God we understand and can apply in our day to day activities.
